Faith Sumpter, LGSW
Welcome!
Hi, I’m Faith. I am a Licensed Graduate Social Worker who takes a compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy. I view therapy as a space for reflection, growth, and connection, and I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel seen and heard. Together, we work to explore your experiences, build on your strengths, and develop skills to navigate life’s challenges. I believe meaningful change is always possible, no matter where you’re starting from.
My approach:
My passion lies in supporting individuals as they navigate anxiety, depression, and the effects of stressful or challenging experiences. My approach is trauma-informed and client-centered, with a strong emphasis on validation and understanding each person as a whole within their environment.
I strive to create a supportive, collaborative space where individuals feel heard and respected, meeting each person where they are in their journey. Together, we explore emotions, build coping skills, and develop resilience at a pace that feels manageable and empowering.
I believe meaningful growth happens when people feel safe, understood, and supported. I work collaboratively with individuals—and when appropriate, their support systems—to promote connection, emotional regulation, and sustainable change while honoring each person’s unique strengths and experiences.
Therapy Style/Modalities:
-
Person-centered, strengths-based therapy
-
Trauma-informed, collaborative approach
-
Mindfulness and self-care practices
-
Whole-person, ecological perspective
Outside of the Therapy Room:
When I’m not seeing clients, you’ll usually find me hanging out with friends exploring new restaurants, catching up on podcasts, or spending a lot of my free time coaching cheerleading. I love being part of the team, I love guiding the athletes, seeing their growth, and celebrating their wins with them. I also enjoy going to concerts or just relaxing and spending time with the people I care about.
