Naema Aden
Hi! My name is Naema Aden. I am a Mental Health and Expressive Art Therapist Practitioner with a focus in Adlerian Psychology.
I welcome clients from all walks of life, believing therapy works best when it’s authentic and grounded in genuine connection. My mantra: Be real, be you. I believe reality is shaped by our perception, and that our experiences—painful and joyful—are life’s greatest teachers. This guides my work in collaborating with clients to uncover strength, build understanding, and cultivate belonging. Healing may take time, but together we explore autonomy, creativity, and meaningful goals in love, connection, and purposeful work.
As a Mental Health and Expressive Arts Therapy Practitioner with a foundation in Adlerian Psychology, I offer a client-centered approach that blends both verbal and nonverbal methods of healing. I mainly work with teens, adults, and older adults. Through the expressive arts, I create opportunities using a holistic lens for clients to explore their emotions, experiences, and strengths, going beyond words.
My professional journey began in education, where I worked as a teacher and student advisor, supporting students in their personal and academic growth. I am now expanding my experience as an intern in expressive arts therapy, integrating creativity and compassion into the therapeutic process.
I welcome all clients facing a wide range of challenges. Having experienced firsthand the process of rebuilding life after a brain injury, I feel honored to walk alongside others as they heal from trauma and adjust to life after medical events. Using art practices, mindfulness, and a collaborative approach, I work with clients to process emotions, rebuild identity, and find strength, connection, and purpose. Healing is never linear; it’s a lifelong process of tending to ourselves with care and curiosity. I would be honored to be apart of your healing journey.
