Hi! My name is Naema Aden. I am a Mental Health and Expressive Art Therapist Practitioner with a focus in Adlerian Psychology.
I believe in structuring my practice based on a client centered approach with a mixture of verbal and nonverbal therapy using expressive arts. Expressive arts holds all modalities such as movement, sound, and visual arts.
With my personal experience of experiencing a traumatic brain injury, I am passionate about seeing through a trauma informed lens to foster healing. My focus involves highlighting strengths using expressive arts to encourage healing and mindfulness techniques to support goals and self care. My interest includes practices such as dream work while balancing psychological insights and holistic practices.
Overall, my goal is to provide culturally responsive approaches and techniques to build a strong therapeutic relationship.
